Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated RDA to assist in providing exceptional orthodontic care at our Westfield office. As an integral part of our team, you’ll help create a positive, supportive experience for our patients while ensuring that all clinical procedures run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the orthodontist during patient exams and treatments
Prepare and sterilize instruments, equipment, and treatment areas
Take X-rays, impressions, and records as needed
Educate patients and families on proper oral hygiene and orthodontic care
Maintain accurate patient records and charting
Support the orthodontist in all aspects of patient care and ensure a smooth clinical workflow
Provide excellent customer service and build lasting relationships with patients
Qualifications:
Active RDA certification in New Jersey
Experience in orthodontics preferred, but not required
Knowledge of sterilization protocols and safety procedures
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

What You Will Do (Text Only)
- Must be able to work in kid friendly environment - Provides instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to treatment area; positioning instruments for dentist’s access; suctioning; passing instruments - Provides diagnostic information by exposing and developing radiographic studies - Prepares treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols. - Provides materials by selecting, mixing, and placing materials on instruments and in the patient’s mouth. - Follow OSHA, Infection Control, and other standards for protection against blood borne pathogens. - Clean and sterilize all instruments following OSHA Guidelines. This includes: scrubbing the instruments, packing the instruments, running the instruments through the statim or autoclaveWhat You Will Need (Text Only)
- Graduate of an approved Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) program. - Current X-Ray certification in the State of New Jersey - CPR certified - Ability to work on children in the State of New Jersey, determined through national FBI Fingerprinting Background Check.
