- Reasonable patient load, with an average of 8 - 9 patients per day

- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Active State Dental Assisting license
- 2+ years of hands-on Dental Assistance experience
- Current radiography certification required
- Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control training as required by law
- Open Dental experience
- Coronal Polishing Certification highly preferred
- Current certification to monitor Nitrous Oxide/Oxygen Analgesia is a plus
- Assist the doctor with all dental procedures and patient charting
- Take high quality radiographs
- Maintain patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance
- Follow all OSHA and BBP (Blood borne Pathogen) federal guidelines

This full-time position is the perfect opportunity for a pediatric dentist looking to join a wonderful team-driven practice and expand their clinical skills while reaching their highest earning potential.
At Great Big Smiles, our goal is to be and always be the premier pediatric dental practice in the Greater New Orleans Area. We do this by providing outstanding customer service and superior pediatric dental healthcare in a safe, comfortable, efficient, and loving manner. Dr. Nathan Burns and his team offer comprehensive pediatric dental care, including orthodontic services and wisdom tooth removal. From birth to braces and beyond, we have our patients covered. The office is equipped with all digital software and x-rays and can provide nitrous, conscious oral sedation, and in-office IV sedation. We complete all OR cases at the nearby Children's Hospital of New Orleans. As a pediatric dental associate, your responsibilities would include checking hygiene patients and completing restorative procedures under nitrous, conscious oral sedation, IV sedation, and in the OR. The associate would not be responsible for orthodontic or wisdom tooth services. A typical work week would be seeing patients Monday – Thursday 8:00 – 4:30. Fridays rotate between half days 8:00 – 12:00, OR days, and IV sedation days.
