*Job Description*
Dental Assistants are an integral member of our team and help foster our clinically led culture. *Key Responsibilities *
* Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures while helping patients feel comfortable
* Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment
* Take dental radiographs (x-rays)
* Manage infection control by preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment
* Provide patients with follow-up instructions following all dental treatment procedures
* Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health
*Qualifications*
* Dental Assistant Certificate where state regulations specify
* X-ray certification where state regulations specify

*Working Environment & Physical Requirements *
This is a clinical working environment where potential exposure to hazardous waste and blood-borne pathogens is possible. Requires prolonged periods of standing, sitting, leaning, and bending up to 8 hours a day. Will be required to carry, transport, and use tools and equipment. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
