Hiring a dental assistant for our busy, high-tech dental practice. You will help with preparing patients, sterilizing instruments, setting up rooms, and digital dentistry workflow. To perform well in this role you should have a dental x-ray certification and have a genuine interest in providing patient care. Responsibilities include:
* Preparing patients for dental care
* Helping with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up instrument trays, preparing materials, and assisting with dental procedures
* Assisting dentist in managing medical/dental emergencies when necessary
* Assisting dental hygienists with procedures when necessary
* Recording treatment information in patient records
* Exposing dental x-rays and 3D scanning
* Collecting and recording medical and dental histories, patient vital signs
* Providing pre- and postoperative instructions
* Providing routine maintenance of dental equipment
* Taking digital and analog impressions for study casts, nightguard and fluoride tray in-house production
* Ordering dental supplies and maintaining dental equipment inventory
