As a dental assistant, you’ll ensure excellent customer service and lift administrative and basic dental tasks off the dentist’s shoulders. We are searching for someone that is highly organized with great attention to detail and able to function at a high level in a busy practice. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office policies and be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and ensuring procedures run as smoothly as possible. We are a privately owned, multi-doctor general practice that does a wide variety of exciting dental procedures. Dental Assistant Duties & Responsibilities - Welcome patients and seat them for treatment - Prepare patients for treatments, ensuring their comfort - Select and set up instruments, equipment, and material needed for the procedure - Sterilize instruments according to regulations - Assist the dentist and hygienists through 4-handed dentistry - Undertake lab tasks as instructed - Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions - Keep the operatories clean and well-stocked - Schedule appointments - Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures Dental Assistant Requirements - Proven experience as a dental assistant - Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods - Understanding of health & safety regulations - The ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus - Good computer skills - Excellent communication and people skills - Attention to detail - Well organized and reliable DO NOT CALL THE PRACTICE.
