Position Overview: We are seeking a qualified and professional Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing oral hygiene care to patients, ensuring optimal dental health. This position requires adherence to ADA guidelines for patient care, ethical practice, and professionalism. Responsibilities: - Perform oral health assessments, including reviewing medical history, oral examinations, and patient screenings. - Remove soft and hard deposits from teeth, using a variety of hand and ultrasonic tools. - Apply preventive materials, such as sealants and fluorides, to help protect teeth. - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and care for dental prosthetics. - Take dental radiographs (x-rays) as needed. - Collaborate with dentists to provide comprehensive care and recommend appropriate treatments. - Maintain accurate patient records, documenting treatment and patient interactions in compliance with HIPAA and ADA guidelines. - Stay current with dental best practices and advancements in dental hygiene techniques. Qualifications: - Current licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) in the state of New Jersey. - Completion of an accredited dental hygiene program. - Certification in the administration of local anesthesia (if applicable). - Strong communication skills and a patient-first approach. - Knowledge of dental software and radiography.
