Job Responsibilities
Accurate charting
Skilled patient education
Diagnostic radiology and intraoral photography
Active collaboration with the doctor in pursuit of optimal oral health for our patients
Pursuit of education in the holistic approach to dentistry (No background in holistic dentistry? No problem! All we ask is for an open mind and an interest in the impact of oral health on the whole body health of our patients.)
Build quality relationships with our patients and team

Monday-Wednesday (8am-4pm), Thursday- Friday (8am-1pm)

The Dental Hygienist works in conjunction with a dentist to meet the oral health needs of patients, while keeping the patient’s care, comfort and safety as the primary concern. The Dental Hygienist assesses the oral health of the patient, teaches patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies, removes hard and soft deposits from all surfaces and applies preventive materials to the teeth while maintaining policies and procedures consistent with the Family Health Center of Marshfield, Inc.
Associate degree in Dental Hygiene is required, Bachelor’s preferred. An unrestricted Wisconsin Registered Dental Hygiene License. Local anesthetic State of Wisconsin Certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) are required. Two years of experience as a Dental Hygienist preferred, but willing to hire the right candidate with less.
Candidates may be eligible to apply for the Wisconsin Health Professions Loan Assistance Program, established to assist rural and urban underserved communities in recruiting and retaining primary care health and dental professionals. Dentists who agree to work at an eligible site located in a federally designated health professional shortage area (HPSA) are eligible for up to $50,000 in education loan repayment assistance through this competitive program. Dental hygienists are eligible for up to $25,000. A service commitment of three years is required in a federally designated HPSA. Provider. Advocate. Educator. A dental hygienist has an integral role in helping patients achieve their best oral health. Schedule (days/hours): Monday-Friday Responsibilities:
Deliver exceptional patient care and create a welcoming environment for all patients in alignment with our G3 model (Greeting, Guiding, Gratitude)
Promote a Safe Smile Space (S3) for everyone, where safety and inclusion are paramount
Provide dental prophylaxis and periodontal treatments
Screen patients’ periodontal health
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
Perform oral cancer screenings
Screen for individual needs including malocclusion and educate patients about potential impacts
Continually develop leadership capabilities and business acumen through continued learning opportunities provided both externally and by Smile Brands
Qualifications:
Either an active state hygiene license or eligibility to become licensed (new grads are welcome!)
A current CPR certification
