We are hiring a dental assistant for our growing dental practice in East Cobb. You will help with preparing patients, sterilizing instruments, setting up rooms, taking x-rays/ CBCT scans, and assisting the doctor. To do well in this role you should have a dental x-ray certification, CDA, and provide a great level of patient focused care. Dental Assistant Responsibilities: -Preparing patients for dental work. -Helping with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up instrument trays, preparing materials, and assisting with dental procedures. -Assisting dentists in managing medical and dental emergencies when necessary. -Taking detailed and informative notes and completing correspondence letters to send to general dentists. -Providing great patient focused care. -Recording detailed treatment information in patient records. -Exposing dental x-rays from dental diagnostics and caring for dental x-ray equipment. -Collecting and recording medical and dental histories and patient vital signs. -Providing postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist. -Caring for dental equipment. -Ordering dental supplies and maintaining dental equipment inventory. -Sterilizing dental equipment and operatories. breaking down and setting up operatories for procedures. Dental Assistant Requirements: -Certification or associate degree in an accredited dental assisting program. -Dental x-ray certification. -High school diploma or equivalent. -CPR certification. -Experience using computers for a variety of tasks. -Good written and verbal communication skills. -Consistently professional appearance and attitude. -Able to provide great patient care. -Able to work Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM Why you’ll love working with us: Our staff is very hands on and willing to help and train to increase your success and the success of the practice, experience is not necessary for this position.
