Responsibilities: - Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth - Take and develop dental x-rays - Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide personalized recommendations - Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Dentrix - Follow all infection control protocols throughout procedures - Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality Skills: - Proficient in medical terminology and anatomy knowledge related to oral health - Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix for patient charting and scheduling - Ability to accurately assess patients' oral health conditions and perform patient assessments - Taking vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature measurements - Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients on oral hygiene practices and treatment options Minimum Education and Experience: Licensed Dental Hygienists High School Diploma, GED or equivalent job experience Good verbal and written communication skills Problem solving skills About us: Our practice has been delivering smiles for 7 year at our location and we are currently undergoing our second expansion.
