Job description Hamouri Cosmetic & Family Dentistry is a dentist-owned practice where we strongly believe in treating our employees and patients as family. We are currently looking for an insurance specialist to assist in daily operations. Experience, particularly with Dentrix dental software, and knowledge of the dental field is greatly preferred but not required for the right candidate. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: • Collect, verify, and manage patients’ dental insurance benefits and claims • Perform related administrative tasks, such as processing forms, reports, and emails • Analyze insurance policies to determine coverage for specific services and procedures • Coordinate with dental office staff to schedule meetings, appointments, procedures, etc. • Communicate with patients about their appointments, treatments plans, billing processes, etc. • Estimate costs for patients based on their insurance coverage • Prepare and process claims for insurance companies • Interpret medical information from doctor’s notes to patients’ records • Ensure patients fully understand their health insurance benefits and financial responsibilities • Enter patients’ and insurance data into Dentrix • Generate and maintain reports of all insurance activities • Follow up on non-paid insurance claims, late payments, and overdue accounts • Process and verify insurance payments and refunds • Review and understand insurance benefits applicable to patient claims • Coordinate with health plans to verify insurance coverage • Manage patient records, including entry of the patient health • Manage claims processing Qualifications: • Minimum education: high school diploma or equivalent • Great communication and phone skills • Possess proficient computer and typing skills • Be detail oriented • Patience with lengthy processes • Reliable and dependable • Prior experience with insurance plan claims processing • A/R Invoicing and Collections • Organized and methodical about managing multiple tasks simultaneously without letting important details get overlooked or get overwhelmed • Job Type: Full-time Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
