Description

We are hiring a Dental Insurance Coordinator who will help us manage and streamline our insurance processes. In this position, you will be responsible for collecting, verifying, and managing patients’ dental insurance benefits and claims, analyzing insurance policies, determining coverage for specific services, and estimating costs for patients based on their insurance coverage. You will also prepare, and process claims for insurance companies. In addition, your job will be to communicate with patients about their insurance information and billing processes and ensure they understand their financial responsibilities and benefits. You will also enter patients’ and insurance data into management systems, maintain reports of all insurance activities, process insurance payments, and refunds, and coordinate with other staff on scheduling meetings and appointments. The essential skills that we’re looking for are exceptional communication, attention to detail, problem-solving, organization, and insurance knowledge. Insurance Coordinator Duties & Responsibilities • Collect, verify, and manage patients’ dental/medical insurance benefits and claims • Perform related administrative tasks, such as processing forms, reports, and emails • Analyze insurance policies to determine coverage for specific services and procedures • Communicate with patients their appointments, treatment plans, billing processes, etc • Estimate costs for patients based on their insurance coverage • Prepare and process claims for insurance companies • Interpret medical information from doctor’s notes to patients’ records • Ensure patients fully understand their health insurance benefits and financial responsibilities • Enter patients’ and insurance data into the appropriate management system • Generate and maintain reports of all insurance activities • Follow up on non-paid insurance claims, late payments, and overdue accounts • Process and verify insurance payments and refunds
