Description

 Verify insurance eligibility and benefits with accurate identification of patient co-pays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket expenses in preparation for patient's visit. .  Update patient benefit information in the KCOFS dental management software (Open Dental), and document patient accounts accurately based on patient’s insurance plan (PPO, HMO, 3rd party payers etc.)  Prepare detailed insurance verification form and communicate to front office personnel for reference.  Communicate and explain coverage information to patients as needed.  Successfully apply KCOFS company mission, vision, & core values.  Serve as a valued member of the front office team by participating fully in staff development through morning huddles, staff meetings, continuing education courses and performance evaluations.  Perform general office duties as required.
