Our busy orthodontic practice is searching for a dedicated, committed, and professional Dental Assistant who can assist during patient appointments. We need someone who can provide outstanding customer service, perform basic orthodontic procedures, such as adjustments, take x rays, and maintain patients records with utmost confidentiality. The ideal candidate for this position should preferably have an orthodontic background, be energetic, and enjoy working with patients of all ages. Responsibilities and duties: - Prepare examination rooms, sterilizing instruments and, moving equipment into place. - Update and maintain patient dental records. - Perform routine orthodontic procedures. - Provide support to the orthodontist and clinical staff as needed. - Offer patients advice and materials necessary to maintain good dental health during treatment. - Prevent the spread of infection and disease by maintaining a clean work environment. - Perform other related job duties as assigned. Qualifications and skills: - Successful completion of a dental assistant licensing program as per state guidelines. Certified Orthodontic Assistant credential is a plus. - At least 1 year as an Orthodontic Assistant required. - Must have reliable transportation, be willing and able to travel to different locations in the Tampa Bay area. - Comprehensive understanding of dental and orthodontic instruments and materials. - Exceptional customer service skills and team oriented. - Basic knowledge of orthodontic software. - Bilingual is a plus (Spanish). Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour. Rate will be commensurate with experience.
