**Do not apply if you don't have dental insurance and dental billing experience** Job description Position Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented and personable Dental Financial Coordinator to join our expanding dental practice in Plantation, FL. This essential role ensures that patients maximize their dental insurance benefits while helping maintain an efficient and organized office environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in dental insurance, a solid understanding of billing and coding, and excellent communication skills. Key Responsibilities: -Coordinate with our insurance verification team to keep eligibility and benefits updated prior to appointments. -Coordinate with our insurance claims department to ensure timely processing and reimbursement. -Communicate with patients to explain their insurance coverage, benefits, and any out-of-pocket expenses. -Coordinate pre-authorizations -Maintain accurate patient records, including financial details and insurance correspondence. -Collaborate with the dental team to optimize scheduling and treatment plans. -Stay informed about updates to insurance policies and procedures. -Audit accounts and sent statements and payment requests to patients with balances. -Manage Accounts Receivable Qualifications: -Prior experience in dental billing, insurance coordination, or a related role (preferred). -Proficient in dental software systems (e.g., Open Dental, Oryx). -Strong understanding of dental insurance plans, billing codes, and the claim process. -Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask. -Strong communication and interpersonal skills. -Exceptional attention to detail and a dedication to providing excellent patient service. -High school diploma or equivalent (required); additional certification in dental administration is a plus.
