Job Summary: The Treatment Coordinator converts new patients into active patients. This role involves collaborating with the Orthodontist to educate patients on treatment options, presenting financing options to responsible parties, and effectively addressing any concerns to get patients started on their treatment. By fostering trust and clear communication, the Treatment Coordinator plays a key role in practice growth and patient satisfaction. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: •Promotes exceptional patient outcomes by providing a high level of customer service •Converts new patient exams into signed contracts to meet production goals •Complete all necessary documentation with the responsible party prior to appointment •Work closely with doctor(s) to have a clear understanding of treatment plans to answer any patient or responsible party questions or concerns •Explain treatment plan benefits, and overcome objections to beginning treatment •Present payment options to responsible party and arrange financial payments to begin treatment •Keep schedules full by following up with potential leads and pending patients that have not started treatment •Maintain accurate documentation for treatment recommendations, charting and patient communication records in practice management software •Coordinate patients referred to specialists for care prior to initiating treatment as necessary •Assist with local marketing and community events •Perform all other duties, as assigned Supervisory and/or Leadership Responsibilities: None Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: •Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel •Aptitude for overcoming objections from responsible parties and patients •Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with patients, responsible parties and team members by building rapport and engaging effectively with different personality types •Solid organizational skills to maintain a professional workspace, balance multiple priorities and adjust to an ever-changing workday •Demonstrated ability to find solutions to problems in achieving desired outcomes •Takes initiative and works with limited supervision •Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Minimum Qualifications – (Education, Experience, Certification, & Licensure): • High School Diploma or equivalent required • External Hire: One (1) year of experience in direct-to-consumer sales position required Physical Demands and Work Environment: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
