Description

Our well-established dental practice in the Belle Meade area is seeking a out-going, professional as our front desk administrator. This position involves greeting patients, answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, managing patient records, handling insurance billing, collecting payments, and performing other administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of a dental office, acting as the first and last point of contact for patients. Key responsibilities of a dental front desk position: Patient interaction: -Greeting patients upon arrival, checking them in and out, verifying insurance information, and addressing any initial concerns. Appointment scheduling: -Managing the appointment schedule by booking, rescheduling, and canceling appointments via phone and online systems. Phone management: -Answering incoming calls promptly, directing calls to appropriate staff, and taking messages. Insurance processing: -Verifying insurance benefits, submitting claims electronically, and handling patient billing inquiries. Treatment Coordinating: -Entering treatment plans and presenting them to patients in a clear and concise manner. Patient records management: -Maintaining accurate patient records, updating demographics, and filing necessary documentation. Financial transactions: -Collecting payments, processing credit card transactions, and managing patient balances. Required skills for a dental front desk position: -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and fellow team members. -Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking to help manage appointments and patient flow efficiently. -Proficiency with dental office software for scheduling, patient records, and billing. -Knowledge of dental terminology and insurance procedures. -Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in patient information and billing. -Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. -Ability to handle constructive criticism to improve. We can be flexible (with the right person) with hiring part-time or full-time. Some dental experience preferred but willing to help teach as well. Salary is based upon experience.
